F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why participate?

Our team’s prior research has identified knowledge and practice gaps in oncology care, specifically around chemotherapy. The National Academy of Medicine and others have endorsed interprofessional education to improve knowledge and skills surrounding high risk care delivery, such as chemotherapy. In this program, you will partner with other nurses and pharmacists to learn the latest evidence to improve chemotherapy and develop strategies to improve care in your own setting.

2. Can I apply just for myself?

We encourage applicants to find a respective nurse or pharmacist from their practice to join us for the training. Team-based learning is an important component of the content. When assessing applications, preferences will be given to nurses and pharmacists who apply as a team to participate. However, we recognize practices are different and will consider applications from individual clinicians.

3. How long is the course?

Pre-workshop coursework will take approximately 2-3 hours to complete readings and short assignments on each course topic. These can be completed at home and at your convenience. The in-person workshop will be one full day. The post-workshop evaluation should take less than 15 minutes. Additional resources and learning activities will be available on demand on the project website.

4. Do I have to review online resources in a single sitting? Or can I take my time?

Go at your own pace! You can stop and start whenever you want. Your progress through the resources will be saved, so you’ll know where you left off.

5. Is there a charge or fee for the program?

No, you will not be charged for attending the workshop or accessing course website. This program is supported by a grant from the National Cancer Institute.

6. Do you have CE Credits available?

Yes! Interprofessional Continuing Education Credits will be available upon completion of the workshop and assessment. See the course details page for complete information.

7. Will I be reimbursed for my participation in the training program?

8. Do I need to be online at specific times?
